What the app does

AiQuoteSnap helps trades and small general contractors capture a walkthrough, build an itemized quote, put it on their letterhead, and send it from their own phone — Messages and their own mail app — so the customer can e-sign on their phone.

Who this policy covers

People who install AiQuoteSnap (contractors) and, indirectly, the customers whose names, phones, emails, addresses, job photos, and notes the contractor types or captures in the app.

If you are a homeowner who received a quote, the contractor is the business you deal with. We do not email you from aiquotesnap.com and we do not text you from a shared company number.

Information the app can hold

All of the following can live on the contractor’s device. Some of it may be synced later if the contractor (or UISS) turns on Firebase for that install.

We do not ask for contacts access. The contractor types the customer they just walked.

How quotes leave the phone

Text: Android opens the contractor’s Messages (or the system share sheet). The SMS is sent from their number. We do not operate a shared texting number and we do not send SMS through a third-party messaging vendor on their behalf.
Email: Android opens the contractor’s mail app (or share sheet) with subject, body, the customer address, and the PDF when the device allows attachments. The mail is sent from their account. Customer replies go to that inbox. We do not send the quote from aiquotesnap.com.

If a future cloud feature is turned on, it will still not silently send quotes from our domain.

Optional cloud (Firebase)

If a google-services.json for this package is installed (local or CI, never in public git), the app may initialize Firebase. Generate on Free does not require Google Sign-In. Free’s 3 jobs/month stay on the device. Jobs, photos, and quotes still live on the device in this build. We do not require an account to walk a job, generate a Free quote, or edit the shop profile. Uninstall may reset Free.

When Firebase is used, Google processes that data under its terms as our processor. We will not put real Firebase secrets in the public repository.

Optional generate

Quote lines can be built on-device from notes and photos (demo / offline path). When Generate runs on a store build, photos and notes for that job may be sent to https://aiquotesnap.com/generate so a server-side Worker can draft line items. The generate API key lives on that Worker. It is not compiled into the Play AAB and is not shipped in the store listing or the public repo.

We do not name generate vendors in the product UI.

Payments

Pro is a Google Play subscription (pro_monthly at $19.99 USD / month, or pro_annual at $199.99 USD / year). Google Play processes that payment, stores the payment method, and handles cancel / renew. We do not collect card numbers. Play remains the source of truth for whether you paid.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information.
We do not run ads in the app.
We do not send marketing SMS.
We do not require an account to walk a job or Generate on Free. Free jobs are counted on the device. Uninstall may reset them.

Sharing

We share information only:

when the contractor sends a quote through their own Messages or mail app (they choose the recipient);
with processors we use to run the app (for example device OS, Play, and Firebase if enabled);
if required by law.

Retention

On-device data stays until the contractor deletes the job, clears app storage, or uninstalls. If cloud sync is enabled later, we will keep backups only as long as the shop account is active or as needed for legal disputes about a signed quote.

Security

We do not put API keys, keystores, or google-services.json in git. Release builds should use an upload keystore plus Play App Signing. The generate key stays on the server; Play AABs do not embed it. No method is perfect; treat job photos and customer numbers as you would in your own camera roll and inbox.

Children

AiQuoteSnap is for trades businesses, not for children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the standard). We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

Your choices

Contractors can edit or delete jobs, photos, notes, and the shop profile in the app, and can revoke camera / microphone permission in Android settings. Customers who want a quote removed should ask the contractor who sent it.
